What does
PGS sound like?
PGS is a pop/punk band, with influences ranging from bands like Saves the Day, New Found Glory, Everclear, etc. |
Who is in PGS, and what
do they do?
JoE takes over the vocals and guitar portion, while Dixon handles the rhythm guitar portion and some back-up vocals. Klug takes care of the bass related issues, and Mikee/Juicebox is PGS' very own little drummer boy. |
How did
the band form?
JoE, his brother Mikee, and this kid Miguel (Meagle) had formed Pale Green Stars in high school (Sometime in '98). This was basically a cover band. In time Meagle left, and fellow high schoolers Dixon, Klug, another Anthony joined. They kept the same name, wrote their own songs and played a few shows together. Later Anthony and Klug would quit, a few other bassists would come and go, and Klug would eventually join once again. By this time Pale Green Stars ceased to exist, and the band started going by PGS. That's the Reader's Digest version, for more of the story check out the PGS bio on the bios page. |
Where does
PGS practice?
...in the summer? |
they make their home in Dixon's garage. |
...in the winter? |
they find there way to the Martin household for a little heat. |
What the
hell does PGS stand for?
PGS doesn't stand for anything. We got the name by using the acronym for Pale Green Stars, but Pale Green Stars is NOT our name. That was a different band with different goals. We have come up with a bunch of pretend meanings for PGS though, and the band would be happy to share them with you should you ask. |
How can
I book you guys for a show?
Odds are that we'd love to play your show. The best way to book us is to email bookings@pgsonline.net and include all the appropriate information such as date, time, place (address / city), cover, etc. |
Is it possible you can add my band to the bill for a certain show coming up?
Maybe, email us and ask! We're always swapping shows, and sometimes we have a band in mind that we're saving room for, but sometimes we're still looking for another band. Even if we can't fit your band on the bill for one particular show, we'll probably have something else in the near future that you can play. Send us an e-mail to myband@pgsonline.net and include your name, telephone number (for those really last minute shows), band name, webpage address, and the city your band namely resides in. |
Who was that merch dude/chick at that one show?
It was probably... uh... what show was that again? We've got a bunch of cool friends who help us out by selling merch, and sometimes we do it ourselves. If it wasn't a band member it might have been Jim (Of the street team), Miguel (Of Slick McFavorite), CrazyF (The cow), Matty, Reggie (The lighting dude), Shannon (Mrs. Reggie, the lighting dude's girlfriend), Mari (CrazyF's girlfriend), Spanky (roadie), or maybe even Mary (JoE's girlfriend). |
How do
you guys haul all your equipment around?
We use a big ass van, courtesy of Sunrise Printing. You see that van at a show, you know we're there! |
Is there a mailing list to find out about shows?
There is! If you want to join, just go to the home page of the web site, and enter your email address in the little box towards the bottom that says "Yahoo Groups." |
Do you guys
have a CD?
PGS currently has one full length album available entitled "...In an Uncomfortable Place." A few years ago we made a 4 song demo entitled "A Very Ducky Demo" but these are all gone now. |
How did you record?
"...In an Uncomfortable Place"? |
It was really hard! Haha get it? You know...like....uncomfortable....place...how did we record in an uncomfortable place....nevermind. We recorded this over the Memorial Day weekend of 2001 at Tribal Studios in Downers Grove. |
"A Very Ducky Demo"? |
I don't think anybody wants to talk about that. It was as unprofessional as possible though. |
How do
I get a CD?
(See section Buying PGS Stuff) |
How do I
join the street team?
Just head on over to the Street Team section of the web site, and fill out the online form! |
What does a member of the street team do?
Basically, Street Team members pass out flyers, and get word out about the band and shows. That's about it for now, but we still have lots of plans for the Street Team that haven't taken effect. |
I filled out the form, but I'm not getting promotional stuff in the mail yet, what's up?
We're not a huge band. We're a little local band. We really appreciate everyone signing up, but sometimes we get members from areas that we've already got covered very well. PGS doesn't have the money to make and mail out thousands of flyers that would then get passed out in the same small neighborhood. Just because we aren't sending you stuff in the mail right now doesn't mean we don't appreciate that you've signed up, or that we won't use you in the future. The more we grow, the more help we'll need. We'll be making much more use of the street team in the future, so hang tight! |
How do I buy some PGS merch?
All you have to do to get PGS merch is visit the website, or go to a show. We've got an online ordering section on the site, from which you can order just about everything we have available. If you'd rather buy in person, we always sell merch at shows too. |
How long will it take to get my stuff?
It all depends on where you live. Orders are generally shipped out through the USPS within a day or so of reciept of payment. |
Exactly how hot is Klug's mom?
Oh, she's hot. |
Has everyone really slept
with Klug's mom?
Don't be disgusting, Klug would never sleep with his own mom. |
Does Dixon
really have a huge dong?
Dixon has a dong? |
What's
with the gas mask?
JoE got it for free somehow, and keeps trying to find uses for it to justify keeping it around. |
If the members of PGS could each be any animal, what animals would they be?
They would all choose to be ferrets. Just because. |
What's the deal with the cow?
You want one too, don't you? Well you can't have him, he's the PGS cow! |
Who/What
is Len E. Agrelah?
The guy who killed David Hasselhoff in the "Mitch Dies" episode of Baywatch. Bastard. That series could so not go on without him. |
I have a question for the FAQ, how do I get it added?
Just send an email to FAQ@pgsonline.net with your question. |
Why does this FAQ suck so bad?
Because it's a PGS FAQ, dumbass. |
